And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock. Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me. Then said I, I will not feed you. (He asked Israel to) judge between Me(Lord) and My vineyard.
(What have I) not done in it?
I looked that it should bring forth grape
I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; [and] break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: I will lay it waste:
I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it.

God’s treatment of Israel historically:
When I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, (and said live).
I have caused thee to multiply as the bud .
When I passed by thee, and looked upon thee.
I spread my skirt over thee.
I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee.
Thou becamest mine.
Then washed I thee with water.
I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.
I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.
I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
My meat also I gave thee, I fed thee.
I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee.
I will gather all thy lovers, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them.
I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock.
I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.
And I will also give thee into their hand.
I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot.
Will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.
Never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done.
I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.
But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
To the shepherds of Israel:
I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock.
I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
Will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places .
I will bring(gather) them out from the people, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains .
I will feed them in a good pasture.
I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down.
I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
I (will) judge between cattle and cattle.
I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
Will I save my flock.
I will set up one shepherd over them.
I the LORD will be their God.
I the LORD have spoken it.
And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease .

Tells the story:
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you. (elders).
Lifted up mine hand unto (Israel-to bring them from Egypt to Canaan).
Made myself known (Israel in Moses day).
I had espied for them a land.
I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them.
I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments.
I gave them my sabbaths.
I am the LORD that sanctify them.
I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given.
Mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.
I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries.
I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live.
And I polluted them in their own gifts.
I had brought them(Israel- in Joshua’s day) into the land (of Canaan), for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them.

I have given land for an inheritance unto your fathers.
