Return from captivity:
I will set mine eyes upon them for good, and I will bring them again to this land: and
I will build them, and not pull [them] down;
I will plant them, and not pluck [them] up.
I will give them an heart to know me, that I [am] the LORD:
I will be their God:
I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah,
I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers,
I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds,
I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces
I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds,
I will save thee (and thy seed) from afar
I will multiply them, and they shall not be few;
I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
I will cause him (governor) to draw near (to approach God)
I will be your God.
I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth,
I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning:
I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.
I will save my people .
I will bring them.
I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
But now I will not be(couldn’t trust each other) unto the residue of this people as in the former days(captivity)
I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
As ye were a curse so will I save you.
As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, and I repented not; so again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem .
I will be your God,
the LORD will have mercy on Jacob,
will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land:
the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow/fear/bondage
He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd [doth] his flock.
I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant,
the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of [him that was] stronger than he.
I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness
I shall bring again their captivity
I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
I will cause their captivity to return,
I will cause the captivity of Judah and Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
I will cleanse them from all their iniquity,
I will pardon all their iniquities,
it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
(people shall say): the LORD of hosts: for the LORD [is] good; for his mercy [endureth] for ever:
I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first,
I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and Judah.
I will cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David
my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night,
my covenant with David my servant
will I multiply the seed of David my servant (measurelessly)
my people,
my covenant [be] not with day and night, [and if] I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, [so] that I will not take [any] of his seed [to be] rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
I will command, and cause them to return to this city;
I will sow the house of Israel and Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast.
He hath set an harvest(end) for thee(Judah), when I returned the captivity of my people.
I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep.
Will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted.
And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation:
He shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly.
I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes.
Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries.
I will give you the land of Israel.
I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh.
I will be their God.
I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them.
I am for you(Israel), and I will turn unto you, I will multiply men upon you,
I will multiply upon you man and beast;
I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings.
I will cause men to walk upon you(for business?), even my people Israel.
Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more.
I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you.
I cleanse you.
I gave land to your fathers.
I will be your God.
I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
And I will multiply the fruit of the tree.
Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD.
I will accept you.
I will make them(priests who shamefully can't go into the holy place anymore) keepers of the charge of the house.
In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities.
I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.
I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
I will take the stick of Joseph, and will put them with (the stick of Judah) and they shall be one in mine hand.
I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land.
And I will make them one nation in the land.
I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces and will cleanse them.
And I will be their God.
I have given (land) unto Jacob my servant.
I will be their God.
I the LORD do sanctify Israel.
I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations.
I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there (heathen captivity).
I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
I will send for many fishers, and after will I send for many hunters (to gather back Israel)
will I be the God of all the families of Israel,
He giveth the sun for a light by day, [and] the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts [is] his name:
I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done (If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath)
Returned after captivity:
Build the house(temple after captivity); and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified.
I called for a drought upon the land.(because temple is wasted) I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail.
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine. (The latter temple will be more glorious than Solomon’s gold temple)
In this place will I give peace. From this day will I bless you.
Will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant..and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee.
I am with you, I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you.
