Zion:
Thou hast purchased (Thy congregation) of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. I will abundantly bless her(Zion’s) provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
(earth removed mount into sea) God is in the midst of her(city); she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
God is known in her(city) palaces for a refuge.
God hath shined. (from Zion)
The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
the LORD God might dwell among them. (men, even rebelious)
The highest himself shall establish her (Zion).
I will make the place of my feet (?throne) glorious.
the LORD hath founded Zion,
God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah:
Not ashamed to be called their(believers) God; for He hath prepared for them a city
He is the temple of the city.(Revelation- New Jerusalem)
Like (shepherds vs lion- not afraid): so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver [it; and] passing over he will preserve it.
he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
there(Jerusalem) the glorious LORD [will be] unto us a place of broad rivers [and] streams;
dwelleth in mount Zion
Future:
There(Zion) will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
the LORD that is faithful, [and] the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.
he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.
the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.
your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompence; he will come and save you.
nations [that] knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard(gospel) against him(enemy).
He maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
I will do a new thing; (He’s able)
I will even make a way in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert.
I give waters in the wilderness, [and] rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
Coming kingdom:
he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people:
the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
the day of the LORD of hosts [shall be] upon every [one that is] proud
he shall utterly abolish the idols
he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious,
the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night:
I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
The LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
I will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.
And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.
The LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.
He is raised up out of his holy habitation.
I will encamp about mine house.
I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem.
I will shake the heavens and the earth. I will shake all nations.
I will fill this house with glory.
And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots.
keep never forsake Israel:
(I) created (Jacob) for My glory, I have formed (Israel) for myself; made/redeemed Israel. I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine. I [will be] with thee(Israel) when thou passest through the waters, rivers, fire. I [am] the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt [for] thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. thou wast precious in my sight, I have loved thee: will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles. I [am] with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; every one that is called by my name.
Israel are borne [by me] from the belly, which are carried from the womb: And [even] to [your] old age I [am] he; and [even] to hoar hairs will I carry [you]: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver [you].
He said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
A woman forget her sucking child, yet will I not forget thee(Israel).
I have graven thee upon the palms of [my] hands; thy walls [are] continually before me.
forsaketh not his saints;
He has not cast away his people which he foreknew.
He left a seed.[remnant]
He will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. [Israel’s remnant]
Israel save:
(says to servant)Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
But in me is thine help.
The LORD: he is their (Israel, Aaron, fearers) help and their shield. The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless(Israel, Aaron, fearers)
Saying,(to Canaan) Touch not mine anointed(Israel), and do my prophets no harm.
He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
Thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance saved them because thou hadst a favour unto them.
The LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
The LORD is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
Their Redeemer [is] strong; the LORD of hosts [is] his name:
I will save thee(Israel) from afar off,
I the LORD [am] thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations;
the LORD will go before you; and the God of Israel [will be] your rereward.(Israel exiting Babylon, NT applies: Christians leaving secular way of life)
to whom is the arm of the LORD(Jesus/gospel) revealed?
the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.
what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? my name continually every day [is] blasphemed. Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore [they shall know] in that day that I [am] he that doth speak: behold, [it is] I.
the LORD shall bring again Zion.
he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
